The above appliance carried the reg CDZ 8285 and was Delivered to Crossmaglen from HQ on the 17/7/87 mileage reading on the clock on arrival in Crossmaglen was 400 miles . After finishing service it went to Dublin Civil Defence (AFS) and then to Kilkenny City Civil Defence (AFS) It was then taken into preservation by Dessie Durkin in Dublin .Des restored this appliance over 2 years and resprayed it red from its Civil Defence Yellow. FDZ 4565 Iveco/Carmichael/Maguris TL. New in 1989 this served in Northland Derry until 1993 when it joined the reserve fleet,it was withdrawn from service in June 2008.

OZ 9607 Dennis F17 /Dennis Metz TL. New to the Belfast Fire Brigade in 1954, It served at the Central Station until 1967 , it then joined the reserve fleet and was sold into preservation 1986.It remains in preservation in North East England.

JIA 3824 Dodge K113 /Alexander .One of only 3 tof it's type to serve in NI . After being sold out of service ,it was converted to a recovery truck and operated bt Todd's Garage Ballygowan near Belfast.

WIA 6939 1984 Bedford TKG1260 / Alexander 1of 2 big ET's ,the other been WIA 6938. The above ET served originally at Northlands and moved to Crescent Link when the station opened there in 1991. WIA 6938 served at Central Belfast.

Dennis F8 , It is widely recognised that the Dennis F8 only came out after Fire Authority for Ni approached Dennis with a request for a" rural " appliance.N.I. bought 41 in 1953 and 7 in 1957 . This F8 served at Crumlin and pictured here at Knock F.S.

KIA 6917 AEC /Carmichael FoT. This 1977 appliance served at Northland in Derry before moving to Crescent Link when the new station opened in 1991. It served as a reserve for a short while before been sold out of service in 1994.

BDZ 871 Bedford TL 750/ Alexander ESU,This 1986 appliance was N.I.F.B.'s first attempt at developing a smaller rescue vehicle. Serving at Portadown ,Enniskillen and Irvinestown it proved tobe the only one of it's type.Future ESU were built on Sherpa &CF.

Volvo FL4 -08 / Alexander ,this was N.,I. "rural " appliance of the late 80's and early 90's. A total of 19 of these appliances were bought in 89/90 .Only 1 remains in service on Rathlin Island.

HIA 1748 AEC /Alexander PE. The only AEC appliance bought after the amalgamation of BFB and FANI .It served at Cadogan in South Belfast .and eventuall became a reserve ET.

YDZ 1801 Bedford EP. Oririnally reg. SYH 389 this was one of 32 EP stored in NI.When the decision to centralise all EP's in England this one was sold to NIFB. It has since been sold on.

Dennis RS 134 /Alexander .The last of the big ET's in N.I. it served at the old and the new Central Fire Station's in Belfast .Following the introduction of the Rescue Tenders in 2001 it becamean Operational Support Unit . Scrapped in 2004.
